They come in pink too!
Clara modeling her new pink R2D2 hat. Hazel got one as well, in the
traditional blue. Gifts from Papa who has returned from his first Star
Wars Celebration Con.

Clara is very much in love with pink R2s right now. Bryan is proudly
encouraging her geekness.
Zoo babies
The girls and I took advantage of the nice weather yesterday and went
to the zoo. Not quite a month ago their female giraffe, Stella, gave
birth to a baby girl. We were lucky enough to see her, along with a
baby kangaroo, baby orangutan, and the rest of the Philly zoo
occupants.

Charlie and Lola
Clara loves the books/series Charlie and Lola. Charlie and Lola are a brother and sister who live in England. Every episode/book starts out. "I have this little sister Lola. She's small and very funny." Today we went to the fabric store, a place where the girls tend to get bored very easily. There we are Hazel in the front, Clara practically laying down in the back of the mini Joann's cart as I maneuver through the tiny aisles trying to find what I want while simultaneously keeping Hazel from pulling EVERY bolt of fabric off the racks. A frustrating experience to say the least. Half way through, Clara starts saying, in her best British accent, " I have this little sister Lola, she's smoll and very funny. Today Lola and I are going to the fabric store . . ." She continues to narrate what we are doing with a brief pause at the cutting table to talk to the sales lady, then finishing with. "I have this little sister Lola, she's smoll and very funny. Lola and I are leaving the fabric store." She had me dying. It was really, rather cute and funny.

Our Hazel
. . . the fruit fiend. Nothing can keep her away. I came outside to
hang up laundry, Clara followed two minutes later with a bucket to
pick grapes and who should stumble out behind her but little Hazelnut
wearing my gigantic croc boots. Surprisingly, walking pretty well in
them. She made a bee line for the vines and started chowin' down.

Little mommy
Clara informed me that she is in charge of nap time. She took Hazel
upstairs read her three books and then tucked her in.

I don't think you can get any cuter than this.

Drying
I've got just about the whole back yard covered in clotheslines today.
Hopefully, I get everything dry before the storms decide to come.
