Batty for Stella

We celebrated cousin Stella's 3rd birthday today. It was a fantastic party. Aunt Layne did a Stellaluna theme since that's Stella's current favorite book. There were bats everywhere, even Stella had her own pair of bat wings and the girls got to each take home a cute crocheted bat.

I made her a Stellaluna cake. Which I though turned out pretty well considering how long I've been out of practice.

And the girls practiced some restraint while Stella opened her gifts. Hazel had a particularly hard time with this.

We got Stella a bilibo chair. Hazel is absolutely crazy about it. I think it's safe to say one will be on her birthday list in June.

Happy Birthday Stella Joon!!!! It was fun celebrating three with you. I can't get over how big you girls are getting and how much fun you are becoming :)

Sigh

I know it's already January 11th and still no Christmas entries:( We have to back our iPhoto library up and then try and fix it. Until then I can't load my photos. I'll try and remember to do it.

We've all been doing well. Bryan and I have been focusing on purging more stuff. He spent a good chunk of time cleaning out the basement shop/sewing room. We're hoping to add some more shelves for organized storage and have a nice little lego table down there for my enthusiasts. It should be great for Clara then I can sew during the day while she plays with the legos, at least that's the theory. It feels good to get rid of stuff it's almost addicting, how much more can we part with.

Creative trouble makers

While Bryan and I were working on some organizing, the girls found something to keep them busy. Clara decided they were going to the beach. They removed all the clothing from Clara's wardrobe and most of Hazel's clothing from the drawers then buried Hazel up to her armpits in the "sand". They were having so much fun, both giggling like fools, and looking so cute I could really even get mad at them. I'd let them do it everyday if it didn't take such a LONG time to put away all that clothing.
